 The next clue takes you to Mistress Notter’s Apothecary. Apothecaries, or the old version of pharmacies, existed as far back as ancient China, Egypt, and Babylon. Local villagers often stop by to procure all sorts of herbs and concoctions for various ailments and therapies.

But don’t be fooled by Notter’s elderly age and content demeanor—she’s known to be a powerful witch. But she welcomes you warmly into her shop, bringing you to the glass case of potions on the western wall. “I need three of these for a new kind of brew,” she cackles. “Will you help me, child?”

She begins to rattle off a series of statements about the potions, and you realize this is your next clue. Only three potions are correct, and they need to be added to her cauldron in a specific order to work. Below are the different kinds of potions, each labelled with a number.
